Upgrading from Mercury Business Process Testing 8.2 to 8.2 SP1 for integrating with Mercury TestDirector for Quality Center 8.2 SP1.

Business Process Testing 8.2 is not supported with TestDirector for Quality Center 8.2 SP1. Users must upgrade to BPT 8.2 Service Pack 1 and install Patch 1210 in order make the integration work correctly.

Solution

You need to upgrade to Mercury Business Process Testing 8.2 Service Pack 1 with Patch 1210.

1. Download and install Service Pack 1 for QTP 8.2.

a.    Log into the Mercury Support website.

b.    Navigate to Downloads -> Patches -> QuickTest Professional -> 8.2 -> General ->QTP82P1213SP1 -QuickTest Professional 8.2 Service Pack 1 (8.2.1.1).

2. Download and install Patch 1210 for BPT 8.2.

a.     Log into the Mercury Support website.

b.     Navigate to Downloads -> Patches -> QuickTest Professional -> 8.2 -> Business Process Testing ->  QTP82P1210 - QuickTest Professional 8.2 Compliance Patch for Quality Center 8.2 Service Pack 1.
