IT Governance Center:

Topic

Restricting users from adding a portlet to their Dashboard.

Solution

You can restrict users from adding a portlet to their Dashboard from the User Access section.

In order to restrict access for a portlet, from the left-side navigation bar on the Dashboard, click on Administration >Portlet Definitions >Configure Portlet Definitions. Then search for the portlet you want to configure user access to and open it. In the Configure Access section there are two sub-sections: User Access and Administrator Access. From the User Access section, you can specify the Access Grants that a user needs in order to access this portlet, or you can also specify specific users that can have access to this portlet.

Note: By default all users have access to a portlet. For more details please login to www.mercury.com/support and use this link: http://kb-web.mercury.com/top5/kblinkExtern.asp?Conceptid=41453;Product=kintana
